Aerodynamics

The SW-04e's skin was created from composites consisting of carbon fiber and synthetic resin, ensuring not only a perfect finish, but most importantly, driver safety. Class A modeling, as used in the automotive industry, allowed us to achieve the perfect finish and symmetry of the vehicle. In realizing this project, we also focused on minimizing drag, which was achieved through the streamlined shape of the nose and its narrow profile. The wing and floor generate downforce, increasing grip in corners, and the diffuser further enhances the effect.

Chassis&Suspension

The SW-04e is distinguished by its innovative approach to construction. The frame structure created, made of strong Decol R8 stainless steel tubes, features remarkable lightness and high strength, a key element in motorsports. The SW-04e car's braking system has been precision-engineered, using lightweight aluminum alloys, carbon fiber components and proven components such as Goodrige couplers. The innovative pedal-box was designed in-house, integrated into the vehicle's frame for ergonomic operation, but also for optimal performance. Goodrige's Formula 1-inspired goodrod-pullrod suspension system guarantees controlled suspension travel and high reliability. Aluminum hubs and steering knuckles, supported by topological optimization, reduce non-sprung weight in our vehicle.

Powertrain

Powered by two electric motors with a combined output of 120 kW, the SW-04e race car features the use of advanced planetary gears with a gear ratio of 4.25, enabling it to reach an impressive top speed of 150 km/h and can accelerate to 100 km/h in just 2.8 seconds.The Torque Vectoring system guarantees stability and high cornering performance, while the electronic differential optimally distributes the driving force to rival combustion-powered racing vehicles.

Electric&Electronics

Our electric system uses an innovative 6.5 kWh traction battery, which accounts for almost 1/4 of the vehicle's weight. It consists of 8 modules, equipped with lithium-ion cells. What's more, the SW-04e is equipped with an advanced battery management system (BMS - Battery Management System), which monitors and controls the parameters of each cell in real time, from the degree of charge to temperature to early detection of potential failures.
