SW-02 has a full aerodynamic package.Composite materials make it possible to keep the weight relatively low and the strength of the car's components high.In the case of the SW-02, carbon fiber composites were relied on for the construction, which allowed the weight of the skin to be reduced by 60% compared to the previous model, and its rigidity to be increased.The nose, the component that begins to shape the airflow around the bolide, was machined using a 5-axis milling machine.Thanks to CFD optimization, an important tool in the design phase, the bolide achieves 500N of downforce already at 70km/h.

Chassis&Suspension

Much of the improvement in SW-02's performance was due to the reduction of the bolide's weight to 230 kilograms. This was accomplished through the use of chrome-molybdenum steel, which not only led to a reduction in the weight of the bolide's frame, but also to an increase in its strength. Also key are the shock absorber's hardness settings, responsible for maintaining the vehicle's proper stability and adapting it to different weather conditions. Providing a wide adjustment-five independent shock hardness settings-and the ability to quickly change ground clearance, adapts our car to any competition. Equally important is the professional machining of components, including knuckles, which are a key component of the car's suspension. Suspension design requires incredible precision and accuracy to give the vehicle the desired grip and get the best possible results.

Powertrain

The car is powered by a 599cm³ engine from the Honda CBR 600 RR.The engine's power has been increased compared to the SW-01 by more than 25%-it is now 96hp.The SW-02 is characterized by excellent performance, able to reach a top speed of 180km/h, and acceleration from 1km/h to 100km/h takes only 3.2 seconds.The impressive torque generated by the drive of Formula Student vehicles requires half-shafts and joints capable of transmitting it. These components, thanks to their excellent quality and accurate workmanship, can withstand the hardships of competition on the track.

Electric&Electronics

Proper operation of the motor control and data acquisition system is made possible by an electrical harness. The use of modern electrical and electronic components made it possible to simultaneously increase the performance and reduce the weight of this system. The SW-02 also has a very lightweight lithium-ion battery, which is an important element in the field of portable power sources. It is designed to operate in the harshest conditions.
